Como criar um espaço e um tempo de escuta em sala de aula
Even if the teacher has the ability to listen, there is a natural tendency to quickly interpret remarks from one’s own perspective. By their own silence teachers need to leave open a space for speech so that students can articulate exactly what they mean to say. Respectfully listning to student’s opinions not only supports thoughtful conversations but is highly valued by students. Students’ most valued teacher behaviors have included the observation that the teacher “listens to you”, “allows you to have your say” and “really cares about your opinion.” (Topping, Trickey e Cleghorn, A Teacher’s Guide to Philosophy for Children, p. 23)
