Disagreement - Nani Brunini

disagreement - book by nani brunini

Disagreement is a visual narrative of an argument that devolves out of control, culminating in a shouting match where the only effort being made is to be the loudest. The polarization of opinions and lack of effort to compromise or reach common ground, inspired by recent political events across the globe, consumes those involved. They eventually escape the chaos through creativity and humanism, which ultimately leads to the path of understanding. This book artfully illustrates the toll of conflict and the magic that can occur when one takes a step back from the noise. (Tapioca Stories

Disagreement

As a facilitator of philosophy for children, I have had the privilege of introducing young minds to a myriad of thought-provoking books (in portuguese I call it the #livrosperguntadores). Few have left a lasting impression as profound as Disagreement, by Nani Brunini. This unique silent book, which delves into the complexities of conflict and compromise, captivated the young participants at one of my reading clubs, sparking profound discussions and nurturing their philosophical growth.

This book transcends language barriers, allowing readers of all ages to contemplate the consequences of conflict and the importance of compromise. Its wordless pages speak volumes, inviting us to reflect on the toll of unchecked arguments and the power of stepping back from the chaos to find common ground.

An Invitation to Dialogue

Disagreement serves as a catalyst for meaningful discussions about conflict resolution and the importance of respectful dialogue. Parents, educators, and philosophers can use this book as a starting point to engage children in conversations about differing opinions, compromise, and finding common ground.
